President’s Report [Khris Rickman]
Khris opened our second video conference meeting. Thanked Leann Cooper – GCSAA for setting up this meeting.
Steve Randall gave a brief update from the GCSAA National Office. Steve reemphasized the role GCSAA has taken to make available info on the website related to Corona issues affecting golf and golf course operations.
Scott Hovis from the MGA discussed the recent Back2Golf document that will assist golf operations with re-opening guidelines. Scott also reviewed the proposed formation of a Golf Alliance of all Missouri golf related industries to assist with lobbying on the state level.

Treasurer’s Report [Chris Finnerty]
Current balance reported at US Bank 4-30-20: $64,646.46
Annual MV dues will be mailed this week to all members. Due date remains at June 1st. Discussed that we may experience a reduction in membership dues received for 2020 due to potential financial issues faced by area courses. A budget review by the finance committee was made reflecting a possible 25% reduction in dues and how it may affect the bottom line for fiscal year 2020.

All events for 2020 through July 31st have been postponed or cancelled. Fall events are questionable at this time and will be discussed at a later Board meeting.
Research [Rob Kick/Rich Carlson]
Rob Kick briefly discussed a nematode study currently underway by Mizzou at the Bogey Log Cabin Club under the direction of Dr. Lee Miller. Bogey Log superintendent Chris Finnerty is overseeing the project. A warm season putting green experiment is also underway at the Bellerive CC with Nick White, Superintendent, assisting.
The Green Cup 2020 committee reported that this year’s Green Cup at The CC of St. Albans will be cancelled due to uncertainty surrounding the entire Covid-19 situation.

Membership Outreach and Ethics & By-Laws [Schaff/Finnerty/Stickford/Carlson]
Chris Finnerty stated that the Outreach Committee will be following up this year on any delinquent dues with a phone call to those members.
Chris stated that MV member Brent Rockwells’ sister has passed.
BMP’s [Matt Czarnecki/Carter DeMay]
Carter discussed the committees zoom meeting that took place in April. A new target date of August 1st has been set with approx.. 60% of chapters complete (about 3 weeks behind). A select group of Board members will be announced to review the final draft of these BMP’s sometime around mid-September.
Carter requested pictures be submitted of course operations and projects to possibly be used in this publication.
Director of Operations [Chuck Gast]
The first half of MAGA GHIN dues ($2,500) will be paid this month.
MV dues invoice will also include a letter explaining the alterations to the 2020 event schedule and will depict logos of all ASP contributors thanking them for their support.
So far only 1 scholarship application has been received by this office. The deadline is May 31st for all submissions. Budget for 2020 MV scholarships is $3,000.
MAGA article for May will be submitted by Corey Harvey. Jimmy Bucher is slated for the June article. Paul Hurst suggested selecting the pdf version of the MAGA newsletter for ease of opening this document.
Gateway Green articles for the upcoming spring/summer 2020 edition are now due.

Affiliate Liaisons [Eric Parker/Rich Carlson]
Eric suggested utilizing vendor funds to possibly assist members with satisfying 2020 dues in certain circumstances.
The possibility of awarding MV members longevity pins was discussed and tabled at this time.
HISTORICAL COMMITTEE [Jim Buford/Tim Roethler]
Tim Roethler stated that Jim Buford’s wife is battling cancer.
Select articles are due to Jim Healey as he continues to work on the MV anniversary book. A rough draft of this publication will be submitted to the committee for review when completed.
EQUIPMENT TECH LIAISON [James Arnold]
Rob Kick will head up committee to review bullet points for re-opening guidelines that will then be emailed to all MV members.
A full page ad will be submitted for the upcoming Gateway Green thanking all Affiliates for their support during this pandemic.
It was unanimously approved that the MVGCSA will participate in the formation of the Missouri Golf Alliance. Chuck will serve as the liaison with the MGA representing the MVGCSA.
The Board has agreed to conduct the June BOD meeting via the GCSAA’s GoToMeeting video conference.
Norwood Hills CC / Mike Null is asking for volunteers for the upcoming senior PGA event the last week of September.
