COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Education [John Briggs/Dave Pini/Jimmy Bucher]

The event schedule for 2021 is nearly complete. All ’21 events mirror of 2020. Exception is waiting for confirmation from Boone Valley for the Opener. With venue’s and month’s penciled in, JB to begin locking down dates for each event.

Chuck to Call John Kueper SIGCSA to figure out which Chapter will host Chapter Challenge for 2021. Glen Echo has expressed desire to (re)-host the event at their course for ’21.

Research [Rob Kick/Rich Carlson]

2021 Green Cup will take place at The CC of St. Albans in October.

Annual donation to Mizzou still recommended as per approved 2020 budget guidelines of $6,000 total to be split between Dr. Miller and Dr. Xiong. Presentation will be made in December of 2020.

Membership [Adam Lewis/Carter DeMay]

Membership Outreach and Ethics & By-Laws [Schaff/Finnerty/Stickford/Carlson]

Member Tom Keeven Sr. passed. Approved $100 donation to the Immaculate Conception Activity Center in his honor, as requested by family.

MVGCSA Annual meeting will be virtual Wednesday Nov 18thwith the help of GCSAA Zoom meeting setup.

Nominees to fill the (3) vacated Directors Chairs for 2021-22 will be John Briggs, Carter DeMay, Nick Hittler and Jimmy Bucher. Election to be conducted via Survey Monkey. Tim Doll to assist with set-up. Chuck to email a Survey Monkey ballot to all eligible Class A, B, C retired and honorary members for the purpose of voting for (3) of these (4) candidates.

BMP’s [Matt Czarnecki/Carter DeMay]

Written report attached concerning status of the BMP program now underway. MV budget for the BMP program during 2020 is $5,000. Since expenses so far are approx. $9K with $10K granted from GCSAA, MV has yet to contribute to this operation. Carter has stated that MV’s share may end up around $1200. Will likely finalize around the end of the year.

Outside review process of proposed MO BMP’s currently underway by select area Superintendents.

75thAnniversary book is now scheduled for completion in early 2021.

OLD BUSINESS: 

ASP for 2021…Rob Kick stated that the operating procedure for requesting ASP support for 2021 events should be conducted as usual. A letter will be drafted to accompany the 2021 ASP request to reflect the past year cancellations and options for moving forward with the ASP for the 2021 calendar year. It was discussed that overall 2020 was a good year for golf activity in general and that all operations on the course were conducted as usual with products purchased from suppliers no different than in years past.

NEW BUSINESS:

Requesting volunteers for upcoming PGA event at Norwood Hills CC. Work detail Sept 28 thru Oct 4. Actual golf event Oct 2 – 4.

 

NEXT BOD MEETING – no Board meeting scheduled for the month of November with the Annual meeting set for the 18thof Nov.
