Presidents Report [Mike Null]
Concerns with low attendance at MV functions of late. Be sure to set registration deadline soon enough (7-10 days) to make decision of whether to go ahead with event or not and still give host course the ability to open course for regular play. Suggest possible pay host club a base fee if we are forced to cancel our scheduled event.
Approval of Minutes 8/10/16 Motion by Justen Patterson Second by Tim Roethler
Note: Mike Null pointed out that he did NOT make a motion to “propose an amendment to bylaws to provide a review process of the MVGCSA dues structure on every odd numbered years”. That motion was made by Tim Roethler.
Treasurer’s Report [Jim Buford]
Current balance with US Bank is $56,461.46
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Education [Tim Schwierjohn / Greg Parkinson/ Justen Patterson]
Tim Schwierjohn reported that the Fall Classic at Joachim was a success with 20 people participating. Although attendance was a bit low, Craig Schoon host Superintendent had the course in great shape and a good time was had by all. The format of 9 alternate shot with 9 scramble was well received by participants.
Details for the October event, MC Championship at the Falls, will be finalized soon.
Justen Patterson reported that the MoGIC Conference and the Shop Tour speakers list was coming along fine. He pointed out that approximately 5 speakers will be at each event. Nick Christains will speak at both events on different topics. Dan Earlywine will follow up on current research projects. It was noted that there are 5 days between the MoGIC Conference Dec 7th and the Shop Tour Dec 12th. Discussed the speaker list for the Shop Tour may include seasoned assistants.
