Golf Course Superintendent – Country Club of St. Albans – Tavern Creek

The Country Club of St. Albans is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent on our Tavern Creek course.
Designed by Hurdzan and Fry, Tavern Creek is a beautiful course featuring natural water features,
sweeping prairies, bluffs, and spectacular views. The Country Club of St. Albans is a highly ranked 36-
hole private country club set on 550 acres just west of St. Louis County. Tavern Creek is a sprawling and
challenging property to maintain but has the potential to be one of the premier courses in the region.

The Superintendent will be responsible for scheduling and helping with daily operations and will work
closely with the Director of Agronomy on creating chemical programs, budgeting, purchasing, and
working towards future goals. This position will be well-supported with a fantastic crew, good
equipment, and a solid management team that includes Superintendents and Assistants for each course,
a Director of Agronomy, a Project Superintendent, and an Equipment Technician. We are seeking a
motivated, organized, and detail-oriented candidate that can effectively lead, communicate, and
maintain high-quality course conditions.

Preferred requirements:
 Continued education in turf management or a related field
 5 years experience as an Assistant or Superintendent
 Strong knowledge of plant pathogens, pests, weeds, and products to control them
 Experience with irrigation repairs
 Positive leadership style
 Ability and willingness to do any and all tasks on the golf course

 $65,000 – $75,000, negotiable depending on experience
