Assistant Golf Course Superintendent / Spray Tech
St. Louis Country Club:
Annually ranked as one of the top golf courses in the state, country and some world rankings, this 1914 Charles
Blair Macdonald golf course has hosted numerous USGA Championships in its time, including Men’s US
Open, Men’s and Women’s US Amateurs and most recently the 2014 Curtis Cup.
The course is comprised of bentgrass greens and fairways, zoysia tees and bunker banks bluegrass rough, and
fescue native areas.
We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated individual to join our team to assist in all spray and fertilizer
applications. The Assistant / Spray Tech will also be directly involved with the rest of the course management
daily, to help plan and execute all tasks on the golf course and other club landscapes.
Responsibilities:
Participate in daily course set up and preparation when necessary.
Perform calibration, application, and record keeping of all chemical and fertilizer applications via
various spray equipment including Toro GPS sprayer.
Assist Equipment Tech in routine safety inspection of all application equipment.
Assist superintendent in maintaining proper chemical inventory and current MSDS.
Assist with water management of all areas of the course.
Assist in major cultural practices including, but not limited to: aerification, topdressing.
Assist with construction and renovation projects including drainage and HGT Kentucky Bluegrass rough
conversion.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
2 or 4 year Turfgrass or related field degree is preferred
Minimum 1 year experience working on a golf course
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to obtain a Missouri Pesticide Applicator License
Experience operating golf course equipment

52,000 – 58,000 DOE
