Founded in 1922, Norwood Hills Country Club is one of the premier, and historic private clubs in the St. Louis area. The Wayne Stiles designed course features 36 holes with Bentgrass greens, as well as Zoysia fairways and tees. Norwood Hills was home to the 1948 PGA Championship won by Ben Hogan as well as countless other championship events including the 2001 U.S. Senior Amateur Championship, 2018 U.S. Women's Mid-Am Championship. In September, Norwood Hills CC will host its 5th consecutive PGA Champions Tour event.

Currently, Norwood Hills East Course is undergoing an 18 hole renovation. The renovation includes: green, tee, fairway expansion, irrigation additions, and a complete bunker rebuild.
Norwood Hills is searching for a motivated, team oriented candidate with knowledge in turf management and golf course operations. The East Course Superintendent is to work in conjunction with the Director of Agronomy, West Course Superintendent, Construction Superintendent, and Golf Shop to ensure optimum daily operations
Job Duties:
- General Course Maintenance
- Chemical/Fertilizer Applications
- Recruit, hire, train, and set performance standards for golf course grounds personnel.
- Inspect the golf course daily and adapt duties accordingly .
- Maintain the golf courses, driving range and practice facilities to acceptable playing standards.
- Use sustainable maintenance practices.
- Irrigation repair and management practices.
- Strong agronomic skills,stays current with national and local associations
- Plans, schedules and assigns work daily to team members.
- Supervises maintenance crew responsibilities
Experience/Requirements:
- 2-4 year Turf/Agronomy/Horticulture Degree
- 1 year Experience of Golf Course Maintenance (Preferred/Not Required)
- Possess a Valid Driver's License
- Ability to Obtain a State Pesticide Applicator License
- Working Knowledge of Basic Golf Course Practices including: Course setup, Bentgrass greens, Zoysia fairways, Ornamental trees and shrubs, Irrigation and Drainage control, Pest/Weed and Turfgrass Identification
- Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel
