    Gateway National Golf Links is an 18-hole, links-style, championship golf course designed by Keith Foster and opened in 1998.  Located minutes from downtown St. Louis, the Gateway Arch and city skyline can be seen from most holes.  With its meticulously manicured bentgrass greens, tees and fairways (44 acres), GNGL is consistently recognized as one of the areas top public facilities.  As home course of the Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville men’s golf team, we annually host a NCAA Division 1 tournament, Korn Ferry Tour qualifier and the Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association’s East Side Amateur.


    We are seeking a motivated individual that aspires to grow personally and professionally as our organization has a strong history of promoting from within. Under the supervision of the Head Superintendent, the Assistant directs and participates in all aspects of maintenance of the golf course and grounds. This includes but not limited to daily course preparations, chemical/fertilizer applications, irrigation repair and maintenance, water management, record keeping, employee management and training.  Our main goal is to create a safe and positive atmosphere for our team and provide an exceptional experience for our players.


    Qualifications:

    • 2- or 4-year degree/certificate in turfgrass or related field is preferred

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in golf course maintenance

    • Valid driver’s license

    • Ability to obtain Illinois Pesticide Applicator License

    Bogey Hills Country Club was established in 1962 and is located in St. Charles, MO. The golf course maintenance team cares for 100 acres consisting of both warm and cool season turfgrasses. There are unlimited opportunities to learn and grow as an individual who wants progression in the golf course maintenance industry.     Responsibilities:

    • Provide the club with exceptional playing conditions with attention to detail.
    • Report directly to Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent and assist with daily operations.
    • Supervise and manage staff to promote safety and efficiency.
    • Water management includes setting irrigation programs and monitoring greens with TDR.
    • Chemical management includes supervising or operating appropriate equipment.
    • Knowledge of irrigation including pump station, satellites, heads and all related repairs.

    ABOUT THE JOB

    The Warehouse Manager is responsible for establishing operational procedures for activities in the warehouse. This includes hiring and training new team members to operate the facility.

    WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

    • Verifies incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and keeping the warehouse inventory current.
    • Inspects physical condition of the warehouse, equipment and vehicles.
    • Prepares work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment and vehicles.
    • Maintains monthly truck reports.
    • Meets with department leaders to ensure coordination of warehouse activities as well as other functions such as production, sales, records control, purchasing and compliance.
    • Directs salvage of damaged and used materials.
    • Participates in planning team safety and plant protection activities (i.e. safety data sheets) to comply with OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations.
    • Handles walk-in sales and works with supplier representatives.
    • Ensures that all drivers conform to DOT regulations.
    • Provides back-up to Truck Drivers and other team members when needed.
    • Manages other team members.
    • Driving a company vehicle is required.
    • Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
    • Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
    • Reliable and regular attendance is required.
    • Follows all company policies and procedures.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Green Industry experience or knowledge of golf, landscape, nursery and tree care is a plus.
    • Two years of warehouse work experience is recommended.
    • Leadership experience is required.

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • Ability to operate a forklift is required.
    • Ability to read, write and speak in English is required.
    • Communicating in Spanish is a valuable skill at Helena.
    • Applicants for positions requiring any driving of a vehicle of any type on a roadway, must be 18 and possess a valid U.S. Driver's license. Applicants for positions requiring operation of other moving vehicles or interaction with other heavy equipment must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office are required.

    Successful completion of a drug screen and background check  is required for all positions at Helena.

    This position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand (8 hours a day or more), lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more), reaching overhead (up to and including 25lbs), climbing, gripping, grasping and twisting using hands and wrists, bending and stooping for long periods of time, working below knee levels for short periods of time and working above shoulder level for short periods.

    Job Description: The assistant will help maintain the 18-hole course through daily set up and conditioning, some chemical applications and in-house improvement projects.

    Primary Duties: The assistant will supervise and perform some maintenance tasks including equipment operation, course set up, some repair, minimal irrigation work, landscape bed maintenance and general functions of the golf course.

    Requirements: Must possess a current driver’s license and obtain an Illinois pesticide license, Supervisory experience desired, knowledge and experience in the field preferred

    Job Overview

    The Driving Range Manager assists with the day-to-day operations of the Family Golf and Learning Center including, performing all duties with a commitment to the highest level of customer service.

    Specific Responsibilities - include but are not limited to:

    • This position is expected to manage all aspects of the driving range from ball retrieval to cleaning and preparing range balls for use.

    • Ensures a sufficient supply of range balls for guests, clinics, and lessons.

    • Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates staff that is responsible for the driving range

    • Manages and maintains a Range Staff Schedule

    • Implements maintenance and rotation schedule of driving range mats

    • Ensures the daily range ball inventory is sufficient throughout the day

    • Staffs the facility appropriately in order to stay up with the range ball inventory and prepares for the following day

    • Adequately prepares an inventory of range balls each evening sufficient to start the next day’s shift.

    • Maintains consistent and clean presentation of all range tees (mats and grass).

    We currently have an opening for a Turf Equipment Technician in our Berkeley, Missouri location.  The successful candidate will be an outstanding mechanic with above average diagnostic, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical skills.  The position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 1st shift.  $28 - 35 / hour DOE

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Set up equipment per manufacturer and customer specifications.
    • Install necessary parts, check fluid levels, test and assure proper operation.
    • Operate and test equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
    • Safely and effectively use all service and repair tools:  hoist, welder, test equipment, pressure washer, compressors, power tools etc.
    • Safely operate a forklift.
    • Maintain cleanliness and safety of shop area.
    • Effectively work within a team to meet customer needs
    • MTI provides specialized tools specific to our products, however the successful candidate provides his/her own hand and power tools. 

    Education and/or Experience

    • Technical degree (2yr.) or equivalent experience required.
    • Demonstrated experience and effectiveness in diagnosing problems with gas and diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.
    • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Parts based lookup tools, Diagnostic Software 
    • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
    • Strong customer service/communication skills.
